A special place to slow down
Hi, we’re Liz and Phil. We took over Heygates Lodging in July 2026 after falling in love with its peaceful canalside setting. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was somewhere we would love to share with others. Having both spent years working in fast-paced, demanding environments, we understand how much it matters to have somewhere you can properly switch off. For us, a countryside break is a chance to put everyday pressures aside, spend time together and enjoy a slower pace. As experienced travellers, we know that the little touches can turn a good holiday into a memorable one. Our aim is to make your stay comfortable and relaxed, from a cosy lodge to a private wood-fired hot tub ready for your arrival. We live next door, so we’re close by if you need anything or would like a recommendation for a walk, pub or place to visit. Otherwise, we’ll leave you to enjoy the peace and privacy of your own escape.STAY A LITTLE LONGER
